Get Custom Strings, Violin or Fiddle Tracks

If you are working on a project that requires specific violin or fiddle parts and you can’t find what you need in the available loop collections, please reach out to us about having a custom track recorded.

If you have any questions about the following information, don’t hesitate to contact us. Please be sure to send over an email before submitting any files so we can confirm availability and give you an estimated turnaround time.

Guide Mix

Create a guide mix of your song which includes all the tracks that you plan to keep in your final mix. If the vocal track is a scratch, mix it lower in volume than you would for your final mix. This will help prevent pitch or timing conflicts between the new violin or fiddle tracks and the rest of your “keeper” tracks.

Synchronize

Please include your “count-in” click, or have some audible cue before the song starts. We will embed that count-in click or other temporary marker on all the finished tracks so that you can accurately line up the violin or fiddle tracks with your existing mix.

If you are emailing your guide track, please compress the file(s) to mp3 or Apple M4A or AAC. Alternatively you can FTP the full-resolution WAV or AIFF file(s) using your preferred file transfer service.

Important Information

To send your compressed file(s), first please reach out using the contact link above to ensure that we can schedule your project. Our reply will include the receiving email address for you to use.

When sending your file(s), please indicate the following:

  • Tempo in BPM (beats per minute) if applicable
  • File format you want to get back (WAV or AIF)
  • Bit resolution – 16 or 24 bit and 44.1, 48, 88.2 or 96 KHz
  • Tuning if other than A 440
  • Arrangement instructions if you have something specific in mind

Got Your New String, Violin or Fiddle Track Back?

After you’re satisfied and approve the finished tracks, you will receive a link to download the new tracks. Consult your software documentation for instructions on importing audio files to tracks and nudging or sliding them into position.

After you have imported the violin or fiddle tracks, line up the start point for all the new string tracks and slide or nudge them so that the count-in click or audio cue on the string tracks line up with the same click or cue in your existing session. You can zoom in to do this visually and also listen for flanging. This indicates that all tracks are locked in sync.

If you have any other specific questions, please don’t hesitate to contact us.
